Thanks to all who submitted designs for this year’s poster contest!
Each year, Town Center Community sponsors a commemorative poster design contest for the upcoming Noonday Shanty 5K & 10K, awarding cash prizes for the first and second-place designs. The first-place design becomes the official commemorative poster for that year's race and is given away at packet pick-up and featured in various promotional materials.
The Noonday Shanty Race Committee is charged with selecting the winners and honorable mention designs for the contest. This year's 1st and 2nd place winners are both Cobb County high school students!
1st Place ($250 cash prize): Gwyneth Nobliski
Gwyneth is a Sophomore at Lassiter High School.
"I run track at my school and have always loved art so doing this competition was the perfect combination!"
2nd Place ($100 cash prize): Timothy Fickas
Timothy is a junior at Lassiter High School.
"I grew up loving art and design and am happy to see that one of my projects has won a contest."
Honorable Mention (no cash prize): Mandie Mills
