Established by the Town Center Community Improvement District (TCCID) in 2015, the Town Center Community Alliance (TCCA or simply the Alliance) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to shaping the future of Town Center by supporting and funding beautification, greenspace and other quality of life initiatives that help foster a sense of place within the District. The Alliance seeks to preserve and enhance the area’s natural beauty while creating opportunities for outdoor recreation by developing parks, trails, landscapes, artwork displays and other quality of life initiatives, like the Zagster Town Center Bike Share program.
Currently, the Alliance is working on Aviation Park, Bells Ferry Trailhead and Town Center Park, two additions that are expected to change the landscape of the District by adding nearly 50 acres of lush greenspace. Aviation Park is located adjacent to the Cobb County International Airport and will offer state of the art playground equipment, grassy open area for plane watching, and restrooms, all with a charming flight theme. The cornerstone of the Alliance’s place-making efforts is the creation of Town Center Park, a 42-acre site located in the heart of the District with a picturesque water feature, a linear park and a woodland area for ecology and education use. Both parks will connect to the seven-mile Noonday Creek Trail and future Town Center Loop Trail.
Unlike the TCCID, which is supported through a voluntary tax from commercial property owners, the Alliance may accept donations from anyone in or outside the District who wishes to contribute to its projects, offering more diverse investment opportunities. These funds also enable the Alliance to invest in projects outside the TCCID’s 6.25-mile boundary area, as appropriate. If you or your organization would like to become an Alliance sponsor, please contact Alliance Development Director Jennifer Cain at Jennifer@towncentercid.com.
