The future of CIDs: Truly connected communities

SAPORTA REPORT – Since its founding in 1997, the Town Center Community Improvement District has stayed connected to its diverse community of commercial property owners, businesses, residents, students and visitors by evolving.

“Since the [late 1990s], CIDs have evolved to not only create infrastructure in their respective commercial cores, but communities where people want to connect by adding parks, trails, art and more. Simply put, connection always has – and always will be – at the heart of what CIDs do.”

Town Center CID’s executive director details how CIDs have adapted to the ever-changing needs of its district through strong partnerships, innovative technology and strategic placemaking to encourage economic growth and community well-being.
