With the uncertainty that has surrounded us recently, some amazing small business owners have stepped up to help our community in whatever way they can. We want to recognize their efforts!
Today’s Hero – Carrabba’s at Town Center
Today we shine the spotlight on Carrabba’s at Town Center. Owned and operated by Michael Schroeder, this Carrabba’s Italian Grill went above and beyond during an unusually slow time for restaurants. While testing for high-risk individuals at Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta, this local Carrabba’s brought lunch to the professionals who have been conducting these tests. These professionals were so appreciative to have a delicious meal provided to them.
Commissioner JoAnn Birrell said, “A big thank you to our local hero Carrabba’s at Town Center for treating our public healthcare workers and public safety staff to lunch. We are grateful for our community supporters and appreciate their kindness and generosity.”
Lisa Crossman, Deputy Director of Cobb & Douglass Public Health and pictured above added that they were so appreciative of Michael and the Carrabba’s at Town Center team.
Michael Schroeder has created a culture of care in his restaurant and has prioritized giving back to his community. They are also participating in the Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s Operation Meal Plan program which was begun to provide food to those in need, help restaurants keep their workers employed, and provide a vehicle for citizens to help. In addition, they were recognized in the Marietta Daily Journal for donating meals to Cobb Senior Services to provide meals to at-risk seniors. Carrabba’s at Town Center is a Small Business Hero in the community beyond just this season of uncertainty. Please continue to support your local Small Businesses like Carrabba’s at Town Center!
