Project Description

Current Status

Winter Design provided the project renderings/concepts for this project, and ARCADIS provided the project’s Feasibility Study and presented their Park Programming Analysis and Report. The report included a design synopsis, potential permits needed for the project, a preliminary cost estimate and a preliminary design and construction schedule.

Currently, the Bells Ferry Trailhead has a 60-space parking lot, a Zagster Bike Share facility, bench seating and trash disposal. We will soon break ground at the trailhead to finish construction on the last phase of updates. The project is expected to be completed during the first part of 2017.

Project Information

As the eastern entrance to the Noonday Creek Trail, the Bells Ferry Trailhead is an ideal parking area for those getting started on the scenic, seven-mile trail. This upcoming project creates enhancements to the trailhead area, making it more visitor-friendly and providing amenities to help trail users like walkers, joggers, and cyclists, begin and finish their trail journey more comfortably.

Additions include a restroom facility, a small seating plaza with benches and trash disposal, outdoor lighting and planted shade trees. A bike rental station was added in November of 2015 as part of the Zagster Town Center Bike Share Program, so all those who want to bike the trail can, even if they didn’t bring a bicycle!

The Town Center CID will provide 100% of the funding for this project, which is estimated at $513,000 with construction scheduled for completion in summer 2017.
