Cultural Activities

Art, history and performance experiences abound in Town Center.  Kennesaw State University, the rising star of Georgia’s universities and the third largest, is host to many of the area’s top cultural offerings.

The Zuckerman Museum of Art houses more than six thousand paintings, sculptures, and works on paper dating from the late 15th-century to the present. Also on campus, The Museum of History and Holocaust Education presents public events, exhibits and educational resources focused on World War II and the Holocaust in an effort to promote education and dialogue about the past and its significance today.

For the performing arts, The Bailey Center is a busy venue offering symphony, jazz, opera and choral performances, to list just a few of its events, while Onyx and Stillwell Theatres host dramatic and dance performances, respectively.

For exhibit and performance schedules, please visit each venue’s respective website.

Fifth Third Bank Stadium Events

History and the arts are not the only cultural happenings in the area. Be sure to experience Fifth Third Bank Stadium, an 8,300-seat facility whose sporting events are only part of the fun. Men’s and women’s sports, including lacrosse, rugby and soccer are all regular events at the stadium, in addition to football.

The stadium, named by the NCAA.com in 2012 as a top-five must-see facility among the country’s top collegiate athletics facilities, is the proud home of KSU’s NCAA Division 1 football program in the Big South Conference.

The KSU Owls football team is a major athletic focus for the Town Center area and beyond, drawing large crowds at the stadium to share in the KSU spirit. For football schedule and ticket information, please visit the KSU Owl’s website.  Atlanta Blaze, the area’s newly formed professional men’s lacrosse team, will also call this stadium home beginning Spring 2016.

In addition to a variety of sports at the stadium, look out for a full slate of big-name concerts and music festivals, as well as unique events like the Owl-O-Ween Hot Air Balloon Festival in October, with hot-air balloon rides, trick-or-treating, costumes, music, food, and much more! Check the event and sports schedule to keep up with the latest happenings at this busy stadium.
